Welcome to the Blog!
Hello, welcome to my first blog post! So, on my website description summarizes the history of my channel, but I guess I should actually go into depth of my channel history.
In December of 2011, I received a gift that would lead to my YouTube career. For the holidays, I got three toys in a series called Skylanders. In short, Skylanders is a video game where you put these toys also called Skylanders on a disk, that allows you to use them on the video game. There were 7 installments in the series. I got toys from the first installment, Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure. I got Bash, Chop-Chop, and Eruptor. (Yes, the names were that cheesy.)
During the following month, January 2012, I came across videos relating to Skylanders. I watched them quite often, and since I was only 5 at the time, I was probably illiterate, so I never learned the name of the website until March of 2012, when my older brother informed me of the website's name; YouTube.
That year, in August of 2012, I began my kindergarten school year. Since kindergarten is divided into time sections; A.M. kindergarten and P.M. kindergarten. I was a P.M. kindergartener and since my parents had to go to work, I spent my A.M. hours in a classroom rented out by the YMCA in an ELCA Lutheran church. (It wasn’t anything religious.)
That school year, in March of 2013, I created my YouTube account, which at the time, was under my father's real name. I originally just used the account to write comments, and my comments can be traced back to January of 2014.
In March of 2015, I uploaded my first video on the account. At the time of this video's creation and publishing, I was heavily into Pokémon, also at the time, I was watching videos which took the concept of Pokémon and put them in real life. At my first video was about Pokémon being set in real life, and I called it real life pokemon training. I made another episode in May of 2015, and then put the series down, and left it on a cliff hanger. Following that, my channel went into an 11 month long period of inactivity.
In April of 2016, I was heavily into his VERY obscure YouTube channel called danielinraleigh. The channel had 13 subscribers and hadn't been active since May of 2013, but I liked his channel and he inspired me to revive my YouTube channel.
Three months later, in July of 2016, I began to make argumentative videos about health and vegetarianism. At the time, I had been a vegetarian for two months.
The very next month, in August of 2016, I came out as a Communist. At the time, I had little understanding of Communism and thought it was simply a nation heavily taxing rich people, taking some of their money and giving it to the poor. Thankfully, in the video, I condemned the actions of Joseph Stalin, Mao Zedong, Pol Pot, etc.
In September of 2016, I began to make more and more videos on politics. It started out as just common sense ideas such as anti-racism and defending the LGBTQIA+ community. Two months later, in November of 2016, I renamed my account to Dylan2013. That same month, I condemned Donald Trump and came out in support of Hillary Clinton. To this day, I still dislike Trump, but now I also dislike Hillary Clinton.
Next month, in December of 2016, I began to defend Communism more.
In early January of 2017, I changed my channel name to Sceneable.
In late January of 2017, I made a video explaining why the United States should become a Communist state. I uploaded the video in early February of 2017. The video soon became one of the most popular videos on my account amassing over 300 views. Soon it got 1,000 views, then 10,000, then 100,000 views and I began to be written about in articles by multiple news sources.
In late February of 2017, I was interviewed by Madison Kircher of the New York Magazine over the phone.
In July of 2017, I got into hot water with a Right-Wing commentator named Mr. Sheep 8. We held a debate over the effectiveness of Capitalism.
That same month, I began to fade out of the public image.
In September of 2017, I found out that Mr. Sheep 8 had threatened someone with murdering them because they said that they would burn an American flag. I pointed this out to him and he compared that to me being annoyed that he makes fun of my weight. (Yes, he was one of those kids.) In November of 2017, Mr. Sheep 8 abandoned his account and cut off all ties with other people.
In January of 2018, I began to feel depressed. I stopped uploading that often and felt as though I was stuck in a dark pit of despair. In April of 2018, I began a video trilogy called Something We All Need to Hear. In this trilogy, I explained where I had been and my plans for my account's future.
In May of 2018, I closed the trilogy by announcing that I would cease making political videos and begin making videos about science and history.
In June of 2018, I announced that I would be taking a three-month break from YouTube. I announced that I would be returning in September.
In early August of 2018, I left my Communist ideas and became more moderate. I believe in single payer healthcare and cheap college, but I'm no longer a Communist anymore.
In late August of 2018, I announce that I had returned to YouTube. I began to actually edit my videos and they improved massively in quality. In November of 2018, I created a set for my show.
In November of 2018, The Daily Show asked if I would be in an interview. I was hesitant at first but decided to do it. In December of 2018, I was interviewed and the episode aired in February of 2019.
In early March of 2019, I created this website, iamsceneable.blogspot.com. And the same day, I wrote this blog post.
